2000 CLOCK HOUR COSMETOLOGY COURSE DESCRIPTION

The objective of our 2,000 hour Cosmetology Course is to prepare you for all aspects of salon service.  Through classroom theory and clinical practice, you will gain the well-rounded foundation you need to become a successful cosmetologist.

Early in the program you will learn the basics of shampooing, sculpting and cutting on all hair types, tools used in the salon, sanitation and hygiene.  As you progress you will study the methods and products involved in changing hair texture and color.  You will also study basic esthetics, which includes identifying different skin types, performing skin treatments and makeup application.  Manicures, pedicures and artificial nail services are also covered throughout the course.

After learning each of these principles in the classroom, you will apply knowledge and practice on clients in the clinic.
           
Stacey’s has also integrated a complete People Skills program addressing communication skills specifically for the salon environment.  By developing people skills and strong technical knowledge, you will have all the resources you need to pass the State Board exam and become a success.

The course also includes review exercises to prepare you for the State Board exam.
